After we got home from the Christmas Eve bash and Grandma Hume’s house it was getting late. The kiddos got ready for bed and then were allowed to open one gift a piece from Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Larry.
SURPRISE! Superhero capes for the boys and a fairy princess skirt for Annie! Very fun!
After the kids got settled in bed the rest of the family opened the gifts we had brought for each other. Each year we draw names. We figured it would be fun in the morning to let the kids open their gifts without having to wait for the adults gifts to be opened as well.
Settler’s of Catan is a new game our family has enjoyed playing this year. We got the extension game for Peggy and Larry as well as a shirt for Amy. Appropriate since she is the Queen of Catan (winning often)!
CHRISTMAS MORNING: This year Grandma Peggy asked Annie to read the Christmas story from the Bible that Great Grandma Hume had given to them a few years before at Christmas time. She did a great job reading to the entire family!
Aunt Laura holds Lily and Micah is thrilled to sit close by. He absolutely loves his little cousin!
Lily was given her first Oregon Duck cheer dress from Aunt Rochelle and Uncle Ammon. Daddy looks pleased!

After dinner we celebrated with our annual Birthday Cake for Baby Jesus! A very fun tradition and this year Annie talked us into getting an ice cream cake from DQ.
Annie and Nathan had fun making a gingerbread house with Grandma.
After Christmas festivities were over we ended up hanging out in Eugene for another day. We played the New Settlers game, watched a movie and just enjoyed each other’s company! And this time, team Ammon and Rochelle won the first Settler’s extension game! I guess we need t-shirts now.
