Each year my children look forward to the time of year they get to go onto the roof with Daddy! Hanging Christmas lights is a fun pre-cursor to Christmas and has become tradition. When we moved into our neighborhood we were on the neighborhood Christmas light tour. Two years ago our street was taken off the tour…though we still hang our lights with pride. It’s hard to imagine Christmas at home without the sparkling lights glowing during the holidays! The kids love helping and we all love the final result!
Annie has found that walking and now dancing on the roof is quite fun! Nathan always wants to go up though he holds on for dear life to anything close…usually it’s Daddy…but this time Daddy set him down and he clung to the chimney!
As the sun sets we wave to the neighbors passing by and feel happy to have our lights hung and smile….Christmas is here!
