Hosting Thanksgiving is a job and yet this year I couldn’t be more thrilled to do it! I was really excited about getting out my china dishes, setting a beautiful table and having my family over for a day of eating and fun!
Of course, there’s always the stress of making the not-too-dry, perfect, tender, melt-in-your-mouth turkey! Which I have to say, turned out pretty darn good for being the first Thanksgiving turkey I cooked entirely on my own (well Ammon did help a little).
Really…we had a great day together…hanging out, telling stories, playing games, laughing, reading the paper and looking through ads along with just completely enjoying one another!
Ammon carving the turkey! Kim helping with the gravy. Nathan enjoying his enormous turkey leg!!!
After dinner was over we settled into a game of Taboo where the girls beat the boys by 3 points!
I love my family! They are truly some of the nicest and most fun people I know. Not only are they family…they are friends too!!!
Thanks for doing the best Thanksgiving ever Rochelle and Ammon! The turkey was amazingly tender and moist! The squash dish was incredible--almost like an early dessert. Was so nice to enjoy the blessings of our entire family and your home filled with tremendous hospitality and fun! We love you all! Dad & Sherrill
