Our Civil War party was a success all around! We had a great time watching the Oregon Ducks defeat the Oregon State Beavers!
I baked a cake for the occasion and friends that came to join us brought other food to share! Even our Beaver friends Carol, Kerrick and their kiddos Austin, Savanna and Sierra came over to watch the game. We ate and gave each other a hard time each time the score changed. I have to say…the first half of the game I was hearing a lot of smack talk from Carol. However, I dished it back during the second half!I made homemade pizza for the occasion…because who can really watch a football game without pizza? Carol did bring adorable brownie bites with orange and Green candy in the middle. Perfect for the occasion.
Steve and Shannon (Ammon’s co-worker and wife…also friends from college) and their kiddos Haley, Jayden and Evan also came. Though I have to say they were not dressed for either team. More Trail Blazer and Seahawk fans they enjoyed hanging out and watching the game with us.
Scott and Bethany came over to cheer for the Ducks! And our friend Aaron (also a co-worker of Ammon’s) came and I think most of the time was cheering for the Ducks. That is unless he was giving me a hard time! Anyway, we were glad to have the others out numbered!
7 Duck Fans, 5 Beaver fans and 5 not holding a loyalty. We really did have a fun evening! Watching the game on the Big screen in the living room and the TV in the family room we were able to mingle and not miss a thing!
In the end the DUCKS did what they needed to do and they are headed to the Rose Bowl January 1st! What a great way to begin the New Year! Watching MY DUCKS in Pasadena!
